Using their Home Depot credit card, Jonathan and April began renovating the space themselves, utilizing their home improvement expertise. Jonathan continued his job at the emergency room, working 12-hour night shifts, catching a few hours of sleep, and then opening The Laser Lounge Spa™ at noon. He managed everything from front desk duties to operating the laser hair removal device, which had been sitting unused. By taking on multiple roles, Jonathan and April minimized overhead costs while attracting many clients with their competitive prices.
Building Something Extraordinary
Word spread rapidly! Within a year, Jonathan was able to move the business to a larger space and hire a part-time front desk employee to handle the increasing client base. The spa soon expanded its services to include a wider range of treatments, from neurotoxins and dermal fillers to other laser procedures. Jonathan and April realized they had created something extraordinary: a place where everyone could feel beautiful without breaking the bank.
